"Jack" Davis Jr., 70, died Saturday, Nov. 4, at 9:40 p.m., at the residence of his son in Carencro. Survivors include three sons, Jack Davis of Negreet, James Davis of Baton Rouge, and Johnny Davis of Carencro; twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Pierce of Portland, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents. A native of Fort Worth, and a longtime resident of Lafayette, Mr. Davis had been a resident of Mason, Tex., for eight years. He was the son of the late Andrew J. Davis Sr., a native of Midlothian, Tex., and the former William Jimmie Pouge, a native of Alba, Texas. Mr. Davis was a veteran of military service, having served in the United States army, and prior to his retirement, was employed by Sinclair Oil, Atlantic Richfield, and Texaco Oil as a geologist.
