Ruthie McDonald Davis

  Funeral services for Ruthie McDonald Davis, 65, of Houma, were
held Saturday, Dec. 21, 1996, at 10 a.m., at Chauvin Funeral Home
Chapel. Interment was at Garden of Memories Cemetery, under the
direction of Chauvin Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Davis died Thursday, Dec. 19, at noon. She was a native of
Mitchell, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of
Thibodaux. She belonged to the Y.M.C.A., XYZ Club, and she was a
retired registered nurse for Terrebonne General Medical Center.

  She was preceded in death by her father, Wilburn Dampier
McDonald Sr.; and two brothers, James Floyd McDonald, and Elmer
Lloyd McDonald.

  Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Fred Davis of Houma; her
mother, Annie Mullanix McDonald of Houma; two daughters, Gwen
Davis Stinson of Houma, and Dianne Davis Giddens of Cedar Hill
Texas; three brothers, Glen McDonald of LaPlace, Wilburn McDonald
Jr. of Berwick, and James R. McDonald of Houma; grandchildren,
Jeffrey, Martin, and Kyle Giddens, and Heather Stinson; four
great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
