Mrs. Nellie Davis

  Mrs. Nellie Davis, 83, of Marthaville, died Jan. 15, in Bossier
City. She was a member of Union Baptist Church in Belmont, and
was a nursing assistant.

  Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Jan. 17, at Emmanuel
Baptist Church, with interment following at Spring Ridge. The
Rev. Raymon Alford officiated, and the Rev. Steven Slaughter
assisted.

  Survivors include one son, Wiley Davis of Pleasant Hill; two
daughters, Beatrice Graves of Marthaville, and Lavone Keene of
Pleasant Hill; 15 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and 13
great-great grandchildren.

  Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Davis.

  Pallbearers were Wiley Davis Jr., Billy Davis, Steven Davis,
Troy Davis, Gary Graves, and Coty Whitehead. Honorary pallbearer
was Shane Graves.
