W. Lester Davis

  Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 4, for W. Lester Davis,
48, who passed away Sunday, Aug. 2, in Franklin, La., after a
short illness. Rev. Earl Marr officiated at the services, which
were held at Mt. Freedom Baptist Church. Interment was in the Mt.
Freedom Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home, Many.

  Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Mrs. W. L. Davis of Rayne;
son, Willie Davis Jr. of Rayne; two daughters, Mary Joyce, and
Lisa Davis of Rayne; mother, Mrs. W. Dan Davis of Many; four
brothers, Robert of Rivira, Tex., Wilford of Leesville, Preston
of Ruston, and Thurman of Many; two sisters, Mrs. J. O. Smith of
Haynesville, and Mrs. J. G. Dryden of Many.
