John F. Davis

  Funeral services for John F. Davis, age 91, who died at a
Shreveport hospital, Oct. 16, were conducted at Mt. Carmel
Baptist Church at 2 p.m., Oct. 17, with Rev. Coda Salter
officiating. Burial was under the direction of Warren Funeral
Home.

  Survivors are his daughters, Paralee Skinner of Florien,
Christine Huff of Madison, Ga., Irene Pentecost of Lafayette,
Maxine Byrd of Shreveport, Earnestine Hamilton of Baton Rouge;
sons, George Davis, and Carnadus Davis, both of Florien, Aubrey
Davis of Pine Bluff, Ark., Kenneth Davis of Monroe; a brother,
George Davis of Minden; 15 grandchildren; two great
grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Monroe Skinner, Loren Robedeaux, Ellis
Pentecost, Bob Hamilton, T. K. McCorsky, and Frederick Stephens.
