Davis, age 51, of Port Arthur, Tex., were held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, Jan. 14, at St. John's Catholic Church. Rev. M. R. Gremillion officiated. Mr. Davis, son of the late Francis J. Davis and Anna Gandy Davis, was born in Many, and was a graduate of St. John's Academy. He attended St. Edward's University, Austin, Tex., and Port Arthur Business College. An employee of Gulf Oil Corp. for 32 years, he spent a number of years with the accounting department, transferred to operating department, and at the time of his death, was operator of the Key Tone Plant. He was a staff member of International Union, and was former President and Secretary-Treasurer of Local 423, Oil Workers Union. He was a member of St. James Church, and Holy Name Society of Port Arthur. Funeral arrangements were in charge of Warren Funeral Home. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace Davis of Port Arthur; son Kenny; and daughters, Mrs. Shirley Shaw, Mrs. Kathleen Evans, Mrs. Barbara Truncale, and Mrs. Betty Williams, all of Port Arthur; one brother, J. G. Davis of Port Arthur; and sisters, Mrs. Geo. D. Cobbs of Monroe, Mrs. D. F. Locke of Shreveport, Mrs. C. J. Hubley of Many, and Mrs. H. H. Delhomme of Port Arthur; and six grandchildren.
