Diebel, 74, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, at Bethany Christion Church with Rev. Roy Tomlinson and Rev. Joe Lacy officiating. Mrs. Diebel was taken to Beeville, Tx for further services and burial there on Thursday, September 1 under the direction of Settegast-Koft Co. Friends gathered to visit with the family in the Settgast-Koft Drawing Room from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 30. Mrs. Diebel, died Monday, August 29, 1994. She was born in Negreet, on March 30, 1920. She had been a Houston resident since November 1975. Mrs. Diebel was a member of Bethany Christian Church. Survivors are her widower of forty years, Willis H. Diebel, four sisters, Ruth LaCour Tompkins of Many, Devonia S. Willard of Texerkana, Tx., Thelma S. Davenport of DeRidder, and Juanita S. Edwards of Many; two brothers, Leon D. Salter of Shreveport and Norman Salter of Lafayette, and a number of nieces and nephews.
