Officiating were Rev. Malcolm B. Yarnell III, pastor of Lakeview Baptist Church in Shreveport. Assisting were Rev. Kenneth Ronagahan, pastor of Pisgah Baptist Church. Burial was held in Old Pisgah Cemetery, Marthaville, with graveside service at 3 p.m. Mrs. Dupree entered into rest Saturday, May 1, 1993, at Schumpert Medical Center. She was born in Marthaville, La., and had been a resident of Shreveport and Mooringsport for forty three years. She was retired, and largely devoted herself to her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jettie W. Strahan, and Laura Davis Strahan; her husband, James L. Dupree; one brother, Otis Strahan; three sisters, Nobia Dyess, Margaret Stewart, and Mary Rains. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Jettie McGehee Gray, and Kay Gray of Mooringsport, La.; one son and daughter-in-law, David L. Dupree, and Janice Dupree of Whitehouse, Tex.; one sister, Frankie McAllen of Marthaville, La.; one grandson, Michael Ray Gray and wife Tressa Gray of Mooringsport, La.; two granddaughters, Shannon Dupree Costlow and husband Mike Costlow of Baton Rouge, La., and Elizabeth Dupree of Whitehouse, Tex.; two great granddaughters, Desiray Gray of Shreveport, Emily Costlow of Baton Rouge; three nephews, Jack Dyess, Coye McAllen, and Timmy LePoint; two nieces, Linda Stewart, and Teri Stewart Echols; nine great nephews and nieces; and a host of relatives; and a very dear friend, Jane Wells. Pallbearers were Ron Shepherd, David Underwood, Claude Echols, Bruce Henderickson, Todd Strahan, and Darrell Singley.
