All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Marguerite Dover Dupree (Photo) Mrs. Marguerite Dover Dupree, a resident of Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Plano, Texas, died Thursday, November 16, 1995, after a lengthy illness. She was a former resident of Pierremont Nursing Home in Shreveport, Louisiana, since 1985. She was the widow of Orville "Dick" Dupree, who died in June of 1974. Born in Florien, Louisiana, in 1912, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Elizabeth Dover. She attended Newcomb College in New Orleans, and received her degree. She taught in Florien High School, and had been a resident of Shreveport since 1945. She was a member of B'Nai Zion Temple. Marguerite is survived by her daughter, Linda; and son-in-law, Richard Butterly of Plano, Texas; her son, Richard Dupree of Coushatta; two grandchildren, Meredith Cox, and Brandon Cox, both of Plano; one brother, Marion Dover and his wife Nell of Shreveport. She was preceded in death by one brother, Max Dover, whose wife, Annette Dover, is living in Florida. Visitation was held at Osborn Funeral Home, 3631 Southern Ave., Shreveport, Sunday, Nov. 19. Funeral services were held at Osborn Funeral Home Chapel, on Monday, Nov. 19. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Nov. 20. Rabbi Arnold Task of Congregation Germiluth Chasodin of Alexandria, officiated. Burial followed at Forest Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mark Dover, Paul Spillers, Mike Rice, Steve Friedman, Stan Smith, and Jon Black.
