Dyess Jewel C. Dyess, 65, of Pleasant Hill, died Monday, Jan, 6, following an extended illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 2 p.m., at Progress Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. L. C. Kerans, and the Rev. Roy Hall, and Don Windham officiating. Interment was in the Progress Cemetery. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Juanita Dyess of Pleasant Hill; a daughter, Mrs. Lyndel Sistrunk of Minden; one son, Vernice Dyess of Shreveport; two brothers, H. Z. Dyess of Many, Marvin Dyess of Shreveport; four sisters, Mrs. Ola Mae Cobbs of Pleasant Hill, Mrs. Eldred Irby of Robeline; Mrs. Margaret Cox of Robeline, and Mrs. Ruby Lee Campbell of Alexandria; five grandchildren, and mother, Mrs. Allie O. Dyess of Robeline.
