Mrs. Juanita Dyess

  Mrs. Juanita Dyess, 60, of Pleasant Hill, died Monday, March 19,
at 7 a.m., in the Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport, after a short
illness.

  The funeral was held Wednesday, March 21, at 2 p.m., at the
Progress Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Jerry Lawson
officiating. Burial followed in the Progress Cemetery.

  Survivors include one son, Vernice C. Dyess of Shreveport; one
daughter, Mrs. Lyndel Sistrunk of Minden; two brothers, Coiley
Gewin of Coushatta, and Audrey Gewin of Norfolk, Virginia; one
sister, Mrs. Eloise Hall of Pleasant Hill; his mother, Mrs. Kate
Gewin of Pleasant Hill, and five grandchildren.
