George Evan Dyess

  George Evan Dyess, 74, died in the V. A. Hospital in Shreveport,
Friday, June 6, at 7:10 p.m., after a long illness.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Quinnie Dyess of Marthaville;
two daughters, Doris Downs, and Betty Dyess, both of Marthaville;
two brothers, Edward Dyess of Marthaville, and Odis Dyess of
Shreveport; and four grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held in Lewis Chapel Sunday, June 8, at 2
p.m., with Rev. D. R. Belton, and Rev. Lonnie Treadway
officiating. Burial followed in the Springridge Cemetery.
