All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************************************************** ************************************************************ Mildred Alice Dees Funeral services in remembrance of Mildred Alice Dees, were held from the Chapel of Bartleson Funeral Home, on Monday, March 12, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Richard D. Addison of Oak Harbor First Baptist Church officiating. Burial followed at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Oak Harbor, Wash. Mildred Alice Dees was born in Many, Louisiana on July 17, 1918. She died in Coupeville, Wash., following an extended illness. Mrs. Dees worked for many years as a licensed practical nurse in Louisiana. In 1968, she moved with her husband, Arthur Dees, to the Oak Harbor area. Arthur Dees preceded her in death in 1970. Mrs. Dees was a member of the Oak Harbor First Baptist Church. She is survived by her parents, Albert C., and Addie S. Phillips of Oak Harbor; two sisters, Mrs. Leona Logan of Oak Harbor, and Mrs. Lavine Ward of San Diego, Calif.; and by one brother, Mr. Ralph T. Phillips of Shreveport, Louisiana. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Pallbearers were Melvin Wilson, Paul Birkeland, Glenn Lane, Victor Nichols, Leslie Humphrey, and Bernard Nienhuis.
