Jesup Saturday, May 14, 1988. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. H. Tibbits and Rev. Joe Dan Franklin. He had been employed by the Sabine Parish Police Jury since 1975. He was employed by A. J. Hodges and Boise Cascade for 22 years and helped build the roads leading into Hodges Gardens as well as much of the rock garden constructions. He later established the Day Night TV Shop with Dallas Kelly. He served a short time in the Navy. Joe sang high tenor in a gospel quartet and was an accomplished steel guitar and bass guitar player. He was married to Polly Dowden Dees and has two children, Jackie Dees Domingue of Broussard and Greg Dees of South Salem, New York. He had a granddaughter, Claire Ainsley Domingue, 9 months old.
