Mrs. Ruth Alford Dees

  Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Alford Dees, 80, were held at 1
p.m., Sunday, May 26, at Hixson Funeral Home.

  The Rev. Ed Boyd officiated. Burial was at Fort Jesup Cemetery,
Many.

  Mrs. Dees died Friday, May 24, in a local hospital.

  A native of Many, she was a resident of Lake Charles. She was a
member of the Boulevard Baptist Church.

  Survivors are one son, Curtis R. Dees of Westlake; two
daughters, Judith Funk of Lake Charles, and Angela Walker of
Virginia Beach, Va.; three sisters, Addie Petty, and Lela Lowe,
both of Many, and Audrey Wenner of Lake Charles; seven
grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
