Officiating were Rev. William D. Franks, and Rev. Henry Staggs. Burial was held in Centuries Memorial Park. Mr. Dyes died Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Willis-Knighton Hospital, following a short illness. He was born in Pleasant Hill, and had been a resident of Shreveport since 1942. He was retired from Libby Owens Ford Glass Plant. He was a member of the Methodist church, and attended the Oakmont Church of God. He served in the U.S. Army, World War II. He is survived by his wife, Marie Moses Dyes, Shreveport, La.; two daughters, Jean Bryan, Shreveport, Brenda Meshell, Stonewall, La.; one sister, Alma Watson, Pleasant Hill, La.; five grandchildren, Clair Bryan IV, Kevin Bryan, Kelli Bryan, Kimberly Meshell, Curtis Meshell; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Norris Wayne Moses, Keith Moses, Edgar M. Blankenship, Jerry Dyes, Ronald Dyes, Clair W. Bryan IV, Kevin Bryan. The family would like to express a special thanks to the Willis-Knighton Medical staff, and to Joy Smith.
