Elden Dees

  Funeral services for Elden Dees, 60, of Many, were held at the
Many First Baptist Church, Dec. 12, with the Rev. Perry Lassiter
officiating. Burial was in Many Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Pallbearers were Ted Hodges,
Oliver Elliott, Bill Snell, Kenny Nichols, Hubert Andries, and
George Sirman.

  Surviving relatives include his daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Lafitte
of Shreveport; two brothers, J. E. of Many, and C. D. of Sulphur;
and two sisters, Mrs. Marguerite Sanders, and Mrs. Mary Jane
Phillips, both of Many.

  Mr. Dees, a lifelong citizen of Many, owner and operator of Many
Drug Store, and a member of El Karubah Shrine of Shreveport, and
Masonic Lodge No. 411 of Many, died Dec. 11, after a short
illness.
