Jerry Penfield, and the Rev. Will Hassan officiating. Burial will follow in the Progress Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Dyess, who was active in the cattle, oil, and timber business, died at Sabine Medial Center on Monday, Feb. 11. He is survived by his widow, Billie Dyess of Many; a daughter, Marilyn Laramy and husband Howard of Tampa, Florida; five sons, Kenneth Dyess and wife Juanita of Monroe, William Daniel Dyess and wife Desiree of Natchitoches, Gerald Dyess and wife Patricia of Pineland, Texas, Harold Craig Dyess and wife Hazel of Zwolle, and Darryl A. Dyess and wife Lisa of Converse; one sister, Helen Vines of Shreveport; a half brother, Ernest Blankenship of Pleasant Hill; 10 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
