All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************************************************** ************************************************************ Jimmy Dyess A 49 year old Zwolle black was killed during a family argument in his home in Sabine Quarters, south of Zwolle, at 10 p.m., Wednesday night, Aug. 24, according to Zwolle Chief of Police Quinton Brandon. Killed by a blast from a .22 caliber pistol was Jimmy Dyess. He suffered a wound under his left eye. The shot was allegedly fired by his common-law wife, Sheryl Delores Lynch, 19, also of Zwolle. According to Chief Brandon, Dyess was rushed to Fraser Hospital by a neighbor. He died approximately 2 1/2 hours later. Ms. Lynch was arrested by Zwolle patrolmen at the hospital, and transported back to Zwolle, where she was formally charged with first degree murder. She was transferred to the Sabine Parish Jail at 12:26 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25. No bond has been set.
