Dykes Robert L. Dykes, 61, died Sunday, Dec. 5, at 6:30 p.m., as the result of an automobile accident. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 10 a.m., in the Noble Pentecost Church, with the Rev. H. B. Ward officiating. Burial was in the Noble Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Surviving relatives are his wife; Mrs. Dorothy Dykes; one son, Robert Lee Dykes Jr. of Noble; one daughter, Betty Gale Dykes of Noble; one step-son Kenneth Roberts of Mansfield; one step-daughter, Mrs. Bobby McDonald of Converse; three brothers, William Dykes of Zwolle, Thomas Dykes of Campti, and Hugh Dykes of Franklin; two sisters, Mrs. Odessa Barlish of Shreveport, and Mrs. Laverne Ackell of Oakdale; and two step-grandchildren. The body was taken to the Church at 1:30 p.m., Monday to lie in state until service time Tuesday. Pallbearers were the Maintenance crew of Van Couver Plywood Plant.
