Mrs. Lillian Dykes

  Mrs. Lillian Dykes, 88, died in Oakdale on Sunday, Aug. 10, at 9
p.m., following an extended illness.

  She is survived by two daughters, Odessa Barlish of Shreveport,
and LaVerne Ackel of Oakdale; three brothers, William Dykes of
Zwolle, Thomas Dykes of Oberlin, and Hugh Dykes of Franklin; two
sisters, Paralea Lovell of Houma, and Inez Baily of Denver,
Colo.; 16 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at the Noble Pentecostal Church on
Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. J. W. Stanton, and the
Rev. Jerry Greene officiating.

  Burial was in the Noble Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Ackel,
John Barlish, Bobby Remedies, Ben Barlish, Robert Dykes Jr., and
Jeffrey Remedies.
