Dykes Services for Mrs. Dorothy W. Dykes, 74, were held Sunday, September 24, 1995, at Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel. Officiating were the Rev. Gordon Simmons, and the Rev. Denzel Bolton. Interment was in Noble Cemetery. Mrs. Dykes died Friday, September 22, 1995, at Heritage Manor South, Shreveport. Mrs. Dykes was born March 14, 1921, in Converse, where she was a homemaker, and member of the United Pentecostal Church of Noble. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth J. Roberts of Grand Cane, and Robert L. Dykes of Logansport; two daughters, Bobby Nell McDonald of Converse, and Betty G. Mason of Shreveport; two sisters, Ouida Gusko of Shreveport, and Priscilla Simmons of Shreveport; two brothers, W. E. Jackson of El Dorado, Ark., and James P. Jackson of Minden; a special cousin, Barlow Cates of Noble; and six grandchildren.
