David Floyd Dykes

  David Dykes, 86, of Noble, died Monday, Aug. 14, at the Heritage
Manor in Many, after an extended illness.

  Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Aug. 15, at the Noble
United Pentecostal Church, with the Rev. Jerry Green, and the
Rev. V. R. Blizzard officiating. Interment was in the Noble
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of
Many.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lillian Pearl Dykes of Noble;
four sons, Robert Lee Dykes of Noble, William Nelson Dykes of
Zwolle, Thomas Tribble Dykes of Africa, and Hugh Varnon Dykes of
Franklinton; two daughters, Margaret Odessa Barlish of
Shreveport, and Fara Laverne Ackel of Natchitoches; three
brothers, Leo Dykes of Minden, Tally, and Willis Dykes, both of
Noble; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
