Herbert DeSoto

  Herbert DeSoto, 58, died in a Mansfield Hospital Tuesday, after a
lengthy illness.

  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, in Carmel Catholic
Church of Mansfield, with Father Francis Couvillion officiating. Burial
will be in Carmel Cemetery.

  Survivors include his widow; two sons, Randy A. DeSoto of Mansfield,
Lonnie DeSoto of Mansfield; one daughter, Rebecca Sue DeSoto of Mansfield;
five brothers, Rufus DeSoto of New Iberia, Theo DeSoto of Mansfield, Dennis
DeSoto of Pelican, Edward DeSoto of Shreveport, George DeSoto of Franklin;
two sisters, Mrs. Effie Farr of Mansfield, and Mrs. Helen Middleton of
Pleasant Hill.
