Ducote will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Francis Xavier Cathedral with Monsignor Steve Testa officiating. Entombment will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens Mausoleum under direction of John Kramer & Son. Ducote, 87, of Alexandria died at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 1993 in Rapides Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Cottonport. He was a roofing contractor for 60 years. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. Survivors include his wife, Lucille P. Ducote of Alexandria; three daughters, Lucille M. Ducote and Donna M. Ducote, both of Alexandria, and Deborah Blalock of Mansfield; 11 sons, Gregory Ducote, Alex Ducote, Carl Ducote, Gary Ducote, Edmond Ducote, Ralph Ducote and Tony Ducote, all of Alexandria, Michael LeRoy of Ebarb, Donald LeRoy of Kolin, Gordon S. Ducote of Marksville and Freddy Ducote of Houston, Texas; One brother, Rodney Ducote of Sulphur; two sisters, Elliott Walker of Sulphur and Montey Gremillion of Alexandria; and 23 grandchildren. A Christian wake service will begin at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. to 10:10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
