All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************************************************** ************************************************************ Mrs. Lealis Irene Williams DeWitt Funeral services for Mrs. Lealis Irene Williams DeWitt, 90, of Zwolle, were held Monday, June 19, 1995, at the Zwolle First Baptist Church, where she was a member. Bro. Penfield officiated. Burial was in Zwolle Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mrs. DeWitt died June 17, in Many, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. DeWitt was born in Jackson Parish, March 10, 1905, to I. V. and Sula Williams. Mrs. DeWitt married Aubrey Alton "Red" DeWitt, May 26, 1924. Mr. and Mrs. DeWitt operated Loring Lake for many years. Mrs. DeWitt loved to crochet, sew, and do anything that required handwork. Mrs. DeWitt was preceded in death by her husband, A. A. DeWitt; and a son, Aubrey Lee DeWitt. Survivors include a son, Willard and wife Lucille of Many; one daughter, Kathryn Rials McCormick and husband Kenny Dale of Zwolle; and one sister, Ruth DeWitt Pickler of Zwolle; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Allen Rials, Ron Rials, Johnny DeWitt, Phillip Roark, David Ellzey, and Bobby Steele, C. D. Worsham, and Mr. Jeff Morrow.
