Stephen H. Dowden

  Funeral services for Stephen Hugh Dowden, 76, of Leesville, were held at 10 a.m. Monday,
in the Hixson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Hyram Lumpkin officiating, assisted by
the Rev. N. O. Pugh. Burial was in the Centries Memorial Park, at 2 p.m. Monday, in
Shreveport.

  Mr. Dowden died early Friday evening in Broyles Hospital in Leesville.

  Survivors include three brothers, C. A. Dowden of Kingsville, Tex.; B. Y. Dowden of
Cypress, and Willis Dowden of Leesville; a sister, Miss Ruth Dowden of Leesville, and
several nieces and nephews.
