Mr. Francis Cullen Dowden

  Mr. Francis Cullen Dowden, 77, of Zwolle died Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Sabine
Medical Center.

  Mr. Dowden was a retired carpenter.

  Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Les Fontaine
Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Aimwell Cemetery in Zwolle.
The Rev. Paul Ferrant officiated and Rev. Benny Crittenden, assisted.

  Survivors include his loving widow of 58 years, Mrs. Ethel M. Dowden of
Zwolle; two sons, Clayton H. Dowden and wife, Mable of Marthaville and Raymond
D. Dowden and wife, Nelda of Pineland, Texas; two daughters, Bobbie F.
McFarland and husband, Roy of Vidor, Texas and Judy L. Williams and husband,
James of Zwolle; one sister, Jessie Mae Harrison of Ga.; two brothers Hoover
Dowden of Prairieville and Gene Dowden of Shreveport; 11 grandchildren; 15
great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

  Pallbearers were his grandsons.
