S. Alton Dowden

  Funeral services for S. Alton Dowden, 66, of Hornbeck, were held at
2 p.m., Tuesday, Apr. 13, in the Bible Baptist Church, with the Rev.
E. W. Lord officiating. Burial was in the Beckom cemetery, under the
direction of Hixson Funeral Home.

  Mr. Dowden died Sunday, Apr. 11, after an extended illness.

  Included in his survivors was a daughter, Mrs. Doris Carpenter,
of Hornbeck.
