Funeral services were held at the Toro Baptist Church, with the Rev. Freddie Dowden officiating. Interment was in the Toro Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. She is survived by three sons, Fern I., and Carl Dowden, both of Westlake, and the Rev. William E. Dowden of Hornbeck; three daughters, Mrs. Lillian Stone, Laredo, Tex., Mrs. J. G. Williamson of Lake Charles, and Mrs. Mary Laurance of Leesville two sisters, Mrs. Leroy Williams of Florien, and Mrs. Maudie Curtis of Sacramento; 25 grandchildren, and 44 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Sandy Dowden, Tommy Dowden, Judge Roy Dowden, Carl Dowden Jr., Ray J. Dowden, Ricky Stone, Steve Laurance, and Ernest Williamson. Honorary Pallbearers were Dennis Willliamson, and George Dowden.
