The Sabine Index - I. J. Dowden

  24 May 1957 - Last rites for I. J. Dowden, Sr., age 59, who
died at Overton, Texas, Sunday, May 12 was conducted at the grave
site Thursday, May 16 at 3 p.m. at Robeline cemetery.

  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. I. J. Dowden of Overton, four
children, Margaret and Charley Dowden, both of Overton, I. J.
Dowden, Jr., of Poplar, Mont.; George Dowden of Big Springs,
father, Wesley Dowden; one brother, five sisters and five
grandchildren.

  Mr. Dowden was a former resident of Sabine Parish. He was
working four the Eastern Texas Salt Water Co. when he was found
dead after coming in contact with an electric wire in his job.
