J. E. Dowden Sr.

  Joseph Ernest Dowden Sr., 66, died Monday, Dec. 24.

  Funeral services were Dec. 26, at 2 p.m., in the Campti Baptist
Church, with the Rev. Miles Walsworth officiating. Burial was in
the Fairview Alpha Cemetery, under the direction of St. Denis
Funeral Home.

  Survivors include one son, Joseph E. Dowden, Jr. of Tioga; two
daughters, Miss Wanda Dowden of Campti, and Mrs. Molly Goings of
Marthaville; four brothers, Grady Dowden of Campti, Roy Dowden of
Jonesboro, Irvin Dowden of Shreveport, and Robert Dowden of
DeQuincy; four grandchildren.
