Dr. Albert Trichett, associate pastor of Neal Memorial United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial was in Forest Park. Mr. Dowden died Saturday, in Schumpert Medical center. A native of Sabine Parish, he had lived in Shreveport since 19?. He was a retired postal employee, and a member of ? Joppa Lodge. Survivors include three sons, Bill Dowden of El Campo, Texas, Jack Dowden of Aberdean, Scotland, and Joe Dowden of Shreveport; one daughter, Martha Hendrick of Shreveport; 8 sisters, Florence Dowden, and Louise Harvey, both of Shreveport, Bessie Mocha of Oil City, Maggie Snell of Baton Rouge, Chris James and Lena Tarver, both of Hornbeck, Pearl ? Of Sweeney, Texas, and Lucille Logan of Eunice; five brothers, John Dowden of Vancouver, Wash., and Neeley Dowden of Greenville, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Pallbearers were John Reed Tarver, Donald Tarver, Gene Chance, Frank Jones, Bill Logan, and Tom Logan.
