Effie Moss Dowden

  Services for Effie Moss Dowden, 77, of Bossier City, were held
at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 27, in Boone Funeral Home, with J. H.
Reynolds officiating. Burial was at 3 p.m., in Shady Grove
Cemetery near Natchitoches.

  Ms. Dowden died Monday, Feb. 25, in Willis-Knighton Medical
Center, after a long illness.

  Survivors include son, Travis C. Dowden of Shreveport; daughter,
Marcelle Faust of Bossier City; brother, Tommie Moss of Hornbeck;
and sisters, Minnie Faust, Gracie Knippers, and Joy Stewart, all
of Robeline, Lacille Carney, and Zelma Leach, both of
Natchitoches; Ollie Dowden of Flora, Sally Dowden of Cypress, and
Cammie Dowden of Leesville.
