Melissa Pauline Dowden

  Melissa Pauline Dowden, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth
Wayne Dowden of Marthaville, died Sunday night, Dec. 23, in St.
Jude's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

  The funeral was held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 26, in the
Beulah Methodist Church, with the Rev. Foster Jennings
officiating. Burial followed in the Beulah Cemetery.

  Survivors, in addition to the parents, include one sister,
Kimberly Dowden of Marthaville; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Margie
Dowden of Natchitoches; great grandmother, Mrs. Nora Dowden of
Natchitoches; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. S. James of
Marthaville; and her maternal great grandfather, Dub Wilson of
Pleasant Hill.
