Grover Dowden

  Funeral services for Grover C. Dowden of Florien, will be held
at 4 p.m., Thursday, June 25, at the Florien First Baptist
Church. The Rev. Bill Fail will officiate.

  Burial will be in the Florien Cemetery, under the direction of
the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Dowden died at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Tex., on
Tuesday, June 23, at 8:45 a.m. He was 79.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Audra Dowden of Florien; one
son, Grover A. Dowden of Beaumont, Tex.; one daughter, Sally
Dowden of Beaumont, Tex.; and one brother, Cullen Dowden of
Natchitoches.
