Cullen Henry Dowden

  Mr. Cullen Henry Dowden died at 4 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 7, 1983,
at his Natchitoches residence, following a short illness. He was
79.

  Funeral services for Mr. Dowden were held at 10 a.m., Friday,
Dec. 9, at the Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Many. Bro.
Joe Ratcliff, and Father Gustave Bergeron officiated. Burial
followed in the St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Services were under
the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen Dowden of Natchitoches;
two sons, Dean Dowden, Baton Rouge, and Jimmy Dowden, Maithand,
Florida; and five grandchildren.
