Crim Funeral Home Chapel in Henderson, with the Rev. Bill Tisdale officiating. Burial was in Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Dowden died Wednesday afternoon, March 11, 1987, in a Henderson hospital, after an illness. She was born August 22, 1900, in Florien. She was a 56 year resident of Henderson, and a homemaker. She was also a Baptist. Survivors are two sons, William D. M. Dowden Jr., Valparaiso, Fla., and Talmidge L. Dowden, Henderson; two daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Hamilton, Henderson, and Mrs. Melba Davidson, Tyler, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Musslewhite; eight grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
