Interment followed at the St. John Cemetery, with Msgr. Norman Buvens officiating. Mrs. Dowden passed away Feb. 28, 1990, at the Natchitoches Parish Hospital. Survivors include two sons, Jim Dowden of Maitland, Fla., Dean Dowden of Baton Rouge; five brothers, C. J. Hubley of Santa Anita, Calif., Charles Hubley of Pt. Arthur, Texas, Cleveland Hubley of Tyler, Tex., Jack Hubley of Alexandria, Gene Hubley of Many, La.; five sisters, Freda Guidry of Lafayette, La., Hazel Yarbrough of Baton Rouge, La., and Anna Frances Grembowie of Houston, Tex., Lynna Hubley of Los Angeles, Calif., Joe Miller of Linden, Texas, Five grandchildren; one great grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Cullen H. Davis; one brother, Walter Earl Hubley; and one sister, Winfrid Duke. Services were under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
