Rilla Marie Dowden

  Funeral services for Mrs. Rilla Marie Dowden, 64, were held at 3
p.m., Thursday, November 29, at Prewitts Chapel Church, with Rev.
Huey Haymon officiating. Interment followed in the Prewitts
Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home.

  Mrs. Dowden passed away at her residence in Hornbeck on
Wednesday, Nov. 28.

  She is survived by her husband, Arnold Dowden of Hornbeck; seven
sons, Edwin Joe Dowden, Jerry Lynn Dowden, Roy Lee Dowden, Eddie
Arnold Dowden, and Timothy Eugene Dowden, all of Hornbeck, Garry
Dale Dowden of Leesville, and Dennis Lane Dowden of Shreveport;
one daughter, Patsy Jean Self of Florien; three step
grandchildren; 13 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Dean Dowden.

  Pallbearers were her sons.
