Arnold Edwin Dowden

  Funeral services for Mr. Arnold Edwin Dowden, 72, were held at 2
p.m., Sunday, August 30, 1992, in Prewitt Chapel Church, with the
Rev. Huey Haymon officiating. Interment followed in Prewitt
Chapel Church, with the Rev. Huey Haymon officiating. Interment
followed in Prewitt Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Dowden died Friday, August 28, 1992, at his residence in
Hornbeck.

  He is survived by seven sons, Edwin Carl (Joe) Dowden of
Hornbeck, Jerry Lynn Dowden of Hornbeck, Gary Dale Dowden of
Leesville, Roy Lee Dowden of Hornbeck, Dennis Lane Dowden of
Shreveport, Eddie Arnold Dowden of Hornbeck, and Timothy Eugene
Dowden, also of Hornbeck; one daughter, Patsy Jean Self of
Florien; three sisters, Rowena Mitchell of Anacoco, Irene Cabra
of Florien, and Inez Marze of Anacoco; fourteen grandchildren;
ten great grandchildren.

  He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Dowden; a daughter,
Peggy Dean Dowden; and three brothers, Jiles Dowden, L. C.
Dowden, and L. J. Dowden.
