Edwin Carl (Joe) Dowden

  Services for Mr. Edwin Carl (Joe) Dowden, 50, of Hornbeck, were
held at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 10, in the Prewitt Chapel
Church in Hornbeck, with the Rev. Ted Cabra, and Rev. Huey Haymon
officiating. Burial with military honors were performed by the
Sabine Disabled American Veterans Chapel 21, in the Prewitt
Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home.

  Mr. Dowden passed away Thursday, October 8, at his residence.

  Survivors include two sons, Joey Dowden of Florien, and Ronnie
Dowden of Zwolle; one sister, Patsy Self of Florien; six
brothers, Jerry Dowden of Hornbeck, Gary Dowden of Leesville, Roy
Dowden of Hornbeck, Dennis Dowden of Shreveport, Eddie Dowden of
Hornbeck, and Timothy Dowden of Hornbeck; two grandchildren; and
a host of nieces and nephews.

  In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Cancer
Society of the Children's Home.
