William Wesley Dowden

  William Wesley Dowden, 87, of Robeline, died Monday, Aug. 15,
after an extended illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday,
Aug. 16, in the Kisatchie Baptist Church, with the Rev. Oliver
Roberts, and the Rev. Glen Flenning officiating. Burial was in
the Old Kisatchie Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home of Many.

  Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. J. C. Key of Hornbeck, Mrs.
Della Stallings of Alexandria, Mrs. E. D. Brown of Heffing, Miss
Eunice Dowden of Shreveport, and Mrs. J. H. Burch of DeRidder;
one son, A. L. Dowden of Electra, Texas; two brothers, the Rev.
A. N. Dowden of Natchitoches, and Chris Dowden of Robeline; 12
grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
