D. A. Dowden

  D. A. Dowden, 81, died in Many, Friday, Feb. 5.

  Funeral services were held Sunday, in the Toro Baptist Church,
at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Ralph Stevens, and A. J. Tibbitts
officiating. Burial was in the Toro Cemetery, under the direction
of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

  He is survived by one son, T. C. Dowden of Hornbeck; five
daughters, Mrs. Florien Arthur of Many, Mrs. E. T. Stoker of
Robeline, Mrs. Ulma Yeldell of Lake Charles, Mrs. Ed Scruggs of
Minden, Mrs. Kaill Ferris of Bossier City; one brother, Clyde
Dowden of Florien; and a sister, Mrs. Della Corley of Florien; 23
grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Harvey Dowden, Jerry Arthur, Mike Arthur, Tommy
David, Lynn Charles Dowden, Burley Phillips, Bobby Dowden, and D.
Ivy Dowden.
