Clyde Dowden

  Clyde Dowden, 80, of Many, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, in Many,
after a short illness.

  Funeral services were conducted Friday, Dec. 8, at Mt. Carmel
Baptist Church, with the Rev. H. H. Tibbitts, the Rev. Robert
Graham, and the Rev. Lynn Jones officiating. Burial was in Mt.
Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home of Many.

  Survivors include three sons, Wingate Dowden, and Huey Dowden of
Many, and Tom Dowden of Florien; four daughters, Mrs. Robbie
Raiford of Many, Mrs. Clydell Kile of Alexandria, Mrs. Maggie Lee
Magee, and Mrs. Vivian Herrington, both of Florien; a sister,
Mrs. Della Corley of Many; 20 grandchildren; and six great
grandchildren.
