Inez Dowden

  Funeral services for Inez Dowden, age 73, who died Jan. 13, was
conducted at Toro Baptist Church, at 11 a.m., Jan. 15, with Rev.
Ralph Stephens, Rev. H. H. Tibbitts, Rev. Louis Hastings
officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were Burley Phillips, Tommie, David, Mike, and Jerry
Arthur, Tommy Ray, Johnnie Mack, Bobby, and Sammie Dowden.

  Survivors are her husband, Doss A. Dowden of Many; son, T. C.
Dowden of Hornbeck; daughters, Mrs. Mildred Arthur of Many, Mrs.
Edna Stoker of Robeline, Mrs. Ellen Yeldell of Lake Charles, Mrs.
Elizabeth Scruggs of Minden, Mrs. Mable Ferris of Bossier City;
brother, Calvin Thaxton of Florien, Harvey Thaxton of Baytown;
sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Tramel of Many, Mrs. Lula Ellzey, and Mrs.
Nell Skinner, both of Florien; 23 grandchildren; and 14 great
grandchildren.
