Daily, 58, a native of Many, and a well known Shreveport barber, died Wednesday, July 20, after an illness of one year. Mr. Daily was a retired barbershop owner, and was former owner of the Uptown Center, and Shreve City Center barber shops. He was a member of the Broadmoor Methodist Church, and the Broadmoor, and Many Masonic Lodges. Other memberships included the Independent Petroleum Association, and the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Daily was a member of the Barbers Union Local of Shreveport, and was a former town councilman in Many. A native of Many, he had been a resident of Shreveport for 6 years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bessie Lee Daily of Shreveport; his mother, Mrs. Alice Daily of Many; two sons, A. L. Daily Jr., and Robert Dexter Daily, both of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. Richard Lee Johnson of Shreveport; four grandchildren; two brothers, Edward Daily of Mansfield, and E. O. Daily of Houston, Tex.; four sisters, Mrs. S. B. Hayes, and Mrs. Kenneth Williams of Many, Mrs. Hugh Anders, and Mrs. J. H. McDuffie of Houston, Tex. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, in Rose-Neath Funeral Home, with the Rev. R. Leonard Cooke, district superintendent of the Lake Charles District, officiating. Also officiating was the Rev. Robert B. Crichlow, pastor of Broadmoor Methodist Church, and Dr. Scott Tatum, pastor of Broadmoor Baptist Church. Masonic graveside rites were conducted at Forest Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were H. S. Pickett Jr., Clyde E. Fant, A. T. ?, W. F. Newton, G. O. Corley, Lee Jordan, George Sirmon, and Elden Dees.
