Mrs. Iola Walters Doles

  Services for Mrs. Iola Walters Doles, 87, of Shreveport, were
held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7, in Rose-Neath Funeral Home's
Marshall Street Chapel. The Rev. E. J. Martin, pastor of Trinity
United Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in Blanchard
Cemetery in Blanchard, La.

  Mrs. Doles, a native of Paducah, Ky., died Nov. 5, 1984, in
Highland Hospital, following a lengthy illness. She had been a
resident of Shreveport since 1951, and was a member of Mangum
Memorial United Methodist Church.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Howard P. Doles,
and is survived by two sons, Mr. Samuel D. Doles, and Mr. Howard
P. Doles, Jr., both of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. Louise
Bowman of Noble, La.; four grandchildren; one great grandchild;
and a number of nieces and nephews.
