Father J. A. Benoit was celebrant of the requiem mass. Father N. F. Vandegaer of Monroe gave the funeral sermon, Father H. ? Hubbley was in the Catholic cemetery under direction of Massingill funeral home. Pallbearers were: R. G. Risor, J. T. Dees, J. M. Belisle, Jim Tyler, Ray Quayhagen and Harvey Miller. Surviving are two sons, Wallace of Many, P. J. of Leesville; one daughter, Mrs. Sam Brown of Many; one sister Mrs. Julie DeKeyzer of Many; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Uncle Tom as he was known to his many friends, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sam Brown, last Thursday evening after a brief illness. Uncle Tom was one of Many's oldest citizens, was an employee of the city for many years until he retired on account of failing eyesight.
