E. Dillon 19 Sep 1952 - Dr. W. E. Dillon, 77-year-old Logansport resident and physician of North Louisiana for many years, died at his home at 9:30 p.m., last Wednesday after a long illness. Dr. Dillon was a native of Many and was graduated from the Memphis Medical college, now known as the University of Tennessee. He did post-graduate work at Tulane university. Dr. Dillon practiced medicine in Pineville, Elizabeth and throughout Sabine parish for many years. He was a member of the Many Baptist church, the Florien Masonic lodge. Dr. Dillon moved to Logansport in 1935. Funeral services were held in the Logansport First Baptist church at 2:30 p.m. Friday, with Rev. O. D. Behm, assisted by Rev. S. A. Seegers, both of Logansport, officiating. Burial was in Many cemetery at 5 p.m. under the direction of the Caraway funeral home. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. W. E. Dillon; one son, Lewis S. Dillon, of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. L. S. Rand, of Baton Rouge; one brother, John P. Dillon, of Alexandria; two sisters, Mrs. A. R. Peterson, of Many, and Mrs. Lattie Mitchell, of Zwolle; two half-sisters, Mrs. Jim Scroggins, of San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Bertha Leach, of Shreveport; three granddaughters, Ann, Martha and Rachel, all of Shreveport.
